Rules
OutbidMCP is a public leaderboard. There are no ads, no API keys, and no revenue share. You pay to stand above everyone else. Rank is the bid — nothing else.
How ranking works
- New listings are whole US dollars, $5 minimum, $999,999 maximum, $1 at a time. Bids already on the board keep their amount until they raise or get outranked.
- Taking #1 costs at least $5 more than the current top bid. Paying less still puts you on the board at whatever rank that bid can take. Equal bids stay in the order they were placed — the older bid keeps the higher rank.
- Enter the same website, GitHub repo, or @handle again to raise that listing to any rank. The new bid must be at least $1 above your current bid; you only pay the difference. Someone else cannot take your rank by paying that difference.
- App Store, Play Store, GitHub, and similar platform links are keyed by their path, so different tools don't share a bid. Tracking query strings are ignored.
What you can list
- A product website, GitHub repo, MCP server package, or an X @handle.
- Chat and invite links are not allowed — Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, Messenger, Signal, and similar. The board is for products and profiles, not group chats.
- Links to sexual content are not allowed. If it is porn, NSFW, or an adult platform, it does not belong on the board.
- Query parameters are stripped from listing links. Affiliate, referral, and tracking URLs will not work.
- Link shortener URLs are not allowed. If you submit one, it is replaced by the URL it redirects to.
Categories
- Categories are assigned automatically based on your tool/repo, but you can DM @bobybarack on X if you want it moved to a different one.
- Each category has its own separate leaderboard and #1 spot, but all submissions also compete on the main leaderboard.
Hall of Fame Billboards & Weekly Seasons
- Earning a Billboard: There are exactly 8 permanent Hall of Fame billboard slots framing the arena. The ONLY way to claim a slot is by holding Rank #1 on the leaderboard at the exact moment the weekly Season countdown timer closes.
- Consecutive Billboard Rule: A project that won the previous weekly Season and secured a Hall of Fame billboard cannot be awarded another billboard in the immediately following Season.
- Maximum Live Presence: Even if a previous winner is ineligible for a consecutive billboard, they can still actively bid and fight to hold Rank #1 on the live leaderboard for maximum real-time traffic and developer mindshare. If they finish #1 at the season reset, the billboard prize passes down to the highest-ranked eligible challenger.
- Permanent Distribution: Champion billboards feature 1-click MCP configuration copying anywhere on the card, providing permanent distribution for crowned tools.
After you pay
- Your listing goes live immediately. Clicks and 1-click prompt copies are tracked automatically.
- If you need to change your title, tagline, or MCP configuration after paying, DM @bobybarack with your Stripe/Polar receipt.
